Chillifunk Records welcomes back London’s legendary DJ and producer Rude Boy Rupert, for his follow up release, ‘Celia’s Groove’ and ‘Rita’s Groove’.
‘Celia’s Groove’ is a Latin flavoured broken beat track. With synth bass electro jazz influences comprising a driving bass line and synth pad and stabs, creating an intense infectious rhythm. There is a nod to Celia Cruz in the form of the vocal sample used. Celia Cruz was a Cuban singer and one of the most popular Latin artists of the 20th century.
‘Rita’s Groove’ is a deep percussive house track, led by a piano riff, vocal clip samples and atmospheric synths, strings and sounds, creating a hypnotic groove with a nod to the early 90’s with a modern twist and Rude Boy Rupert’s unmistakeable, distinctive production sound.
